Castle Square

The town of Teplice boasts a quiet center with a multitude of interesting monuments. The local castle came into existence in the 16th century on the site of an older Romanesque monastery, and today it houses a regional museum. On Castle (Zámecké) Square you can admire a Catholic and an Orthodox church as well as a sculptural gem: a plague column by Matyáš B Braun from 1718.

Castle garden

The Castle garden, designed in an English style, is a great place to go for a walk. You can also visit the Botanical Garden with its greenhouses or climb to the ruins of the Gothic Doubravská hora castle on the edge of Teplice.
