The spa town of Teplice is set in the pleasant landscape between the Central Bohemian Uplands and the Ore Mountains, near the border with Germany. Based on a legend, hot healing springs were discovered here as early as 762. The fame of the Teplice spa has reached Europe-wide proportions since then, and is corroborated by visits from many famous personalities. Nowadays, it is a fairly quiet town, with numerous places to relax.
